Logas Corner – 216 Close Ave, Toronto, ON M6K 1M3
Country: Tibet
Seating: Takeout counter with indoor seating
Must-try dish: Potato Momos
The high: The sun was out, and we were able to set up chairs in a nearby park to taste our way through Loga’s five momo flavours.
The low: We only found out after several visits that Loga’s has a honey garlic hot sauce that almost compares to the original hot sauce.

Loga’s Corner is addicting. It’s that place that when you get a craving, it overcomes you and you go out of your way to satisfy it at any cost. It goes without saying that Loga’s momos are out of this world, but his hot sauce is just as impactful if you can handle the heat. For those with a more sensitive palate when it comes to spice, the flavours are so good that we suggest you fight through the pain. Mandrea Bike was also pumped to discover that Loga’s carries a honey garlic hot sauce, but you need to ask for it.
The whole operation just puts you in a good mood. Loga is usually behind the counter, greeting every customer with a smile, and there are always hot momos ready in any of the five flavours: beef, pork, chicken, potato and vegetable (spinach).
Mandrea Bike branched out in this lunch from the usual order: potato and pork momos. This time, all five flavours were tasted to find the favourite, resulting in some leftovers from the 50 steamed momos. This latest taste test had Mat and Andrea split with Andrea still sticking with her guns with the best being pork and potato, while Mat was converted to the beef momos in substitution for the pork. One thing was consistent, the potato momos were still on top.
The biggest surprise was the vegetarian momo that seemed to be mostly stuffed with spinach and some delicious flavours unknown to Mandrea Bike. Not only does this add some greens to the meal, it also adds some crunch. The vegetable momo jumped up as a staple in our future orders at Loga’s. The most disappointing momo was the chicken. The flavours were mild and the only thing that we seemed to pick up was green onions. Clearly this momo is for the chicken lovers of this world.
Loga’s Corner is a Toronto institution and should be on your Toronto culinary adventure bucket list. Mandrea Bike can assure you that this relationship will not be short lived…
Eat with you soon,
Mandrea Bike
