Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 6 minutes per naan
Total Time: 20-30 minutes

With our obsessions with different dips, we figured it was only fitting to release a recipe in which you can enjoy them with. This homemade naan flatbread is easy to make and has that classic buttery naan bread taste that we all love.
Ingredients:
- 1 ¾ cups of self-rising flour
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup plain Greek or Icelandic Yogurt
- 2 tsp of olive oil
- 2 tbsp milk (or non-dairy milk)
- Extra flour (self-rising or regular all-purpose flour) for seasoning the cutting board
- 1-2 tbsp butter
Directions:
- Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl, making a well in the middle of the mixture.
- Add yogurt, olive oil, and the first tbsp of milk, stirring all of the ingredients with the tip of your finger. Add the second tbsp of milk in continuing to mix until all the ingredients are blended and the dough is picking up all of the dry components from the sides of the bowl.
- Knead the dough for a few minutes to ensure that all the ingredients and the dough are consistent throughout
- Portion the dough out into the desired size (we made 6-8 smaller pieces) and roll out the dough into oval shapes, with the size of your pan in mind.
- Season your cutting board with flour to avoid the dough from sticking to your board as you roll it out
- Cook for approximately 3 minutes per side in a hot pan and then spread butter on each side while the naan pieces are still hot. The cook time may vary slightly depending on the thickness of each piece and the heat of your pan.
Note:
- If you don’t have a rolling pin, use an empty wine bottle.
- You can make this recipe your own by adding things to the naan such as slices of garlic or cilantro and rolling it into the dough prior to cooking.
- If you do not have self-rising flour compensate with a bit of extra baking powder
